Removal and replacement of existing roof system consisting of: 1. Existing Roof System Areas A1 and A2: 4-ply built up roof with modified cap sheet, 2 layers of 1-inch fiberglass insulation boards, plywood decking. 2. Existing Roof System Areas B, C, D, E and F: 4-ply built up roof with gravel, 1-inch fiberglass cover board, one layer of 1.5-inches poly-isocyanurate insulation (taper), one layer of 2.0-inch poly-isocyanurate insulation each mopped onto the 1-1/2-inch metal decking. 3. New Roof System Areas A1, A2: Tear-off existing built-up roof membrane and multiple layers of insulation down to deck level. Replace existing deteriorated wood deck as needed and install two layers of 1-inch perlite insulation. Mechanically attaching the bottom layer and mopping the top layer with hot asphalt. Install new tapered insulation as shown on the drawings and install new 4-plies of felt with hot asphalt. Tiein the 4-plies onto the existing roof membrane.
