1. Backhoe Loader Requirements. Each hydraulic backhoe loader provided by the Contractor shall be a Case Model 590 Super M+ Series 3, Terex Model TX 970B, Caterpillar Model 430E Tier 3 or approved equal which shall meet the following criteria (a backhoe meeting the criteria set forth in D-2.1(B)(1), a “Backhoe”): 1) Rated Engine Power: 75-100 horsepower 2) Loader Bucket Capacity: 1-3 cubic yards 3) Digging Bucket Size: 12 inches wide, footed edge 4) Digging Bucket Capacity: 2-1/2 cubic feet minimum 5) Backhoe Digging Depth: 10 feet minimum, 16 feet maximum 6) Loader Weight: 15,000-21,000 pounds; Each backhoe shall meet all applicable ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel and other diesel emission standards, including Section 24-163.3 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York and the Coordinated Construction Act for Lower Manhattan.
