This Agreement covers the testing of samples collected by the KHRGC or at the KHRGC’s direction or for which the KHRGC has agreed to manage test results. The Contractor shall ensure that all samples collected at KHRGC-sanctioned race meetings are analyzed and reported in accordance with this Agreement. The Contractor shall provide a mechanism for secure receipt of samples Monday through Friday, excluding federal and state holidays. The Contractor shall provide for receipt of samples on Saturday and Sunday, when notified by the KHRGC in advance that samples will be delivered on Saturday or Sunday. The scope of the Contractor’s work and analysis shall be limited to the storage, testing of samples, and the provision of support of test results in legal proceedings. The Contractor shall also engage in research when specifically requested by the KHRGC, for which additional compensation shall be negotiated. The Contractor agrees to conduct all such testing in accordance with the most current version of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (“RMTC”) Standard for Laboratories. # Contractor shall appoint a key contact person for all matters related to sampling, supply inventory, and shipping, who shall be accessible on days when live racing takes place, inclusive of weekends and holidays. # Contractor shall supply testing materials and supplies necessary to collect, label, process, and ship samples. o Those materials and supplies include, but are not limited to: blood collection tubes (volume and type to be determined in consideration of Kentucky regulations and testing methods to be applied to official KHRGC samples), blood collection needles, lidded urine collection cups of sufficient size to collect the required sample volume as established by the Contractor, primary and split sample urine specimen containers with screw caps, sequentially numbered barcoded sample ID tags that are peel-andstick, a sufficient number of labels to identify all samples (blood, urine, and hair), sample inventory forms, non-sterile latex-free exam gloves to be worn during urine collection, tamper-evident security tape, centrifuge, chain of custody documents, shipping containers (including insulated coolers with rigid sides with a lockable hasp, size to be determined by number of samples and size of shipping containers to be shipped), security locks, coolants, padding/absorbent fill, secondary watertight receptacles, and shipping labels. # Contractor shall deliver to the address provided by the KHRGC an inventory of testing materials and supplies necessary to collect, label, process, and ship samples no less than 48 hours prior to the beginning of each race meeting. KHRGC staff shall monitor depletion of the inventory and submit requests to the Contractor for replenishment at mutually agreed intervals.
