1. Provide services including project planning, design, engineering, and installation services to upgrade the District’s PA system. 2. The basis of design for the new system is Bogen Nyquist. Wherever a Bogen system part number is listed, the words “or equal” shall apply per the requirements of Public Contract Code § 3400. Substitutions shall only be allowed as part of this RFP process and will not be considered after the award of the contract. 3. Provide a complete, fully operational system with no exclusions or requirements for the District to provide or install any additional equipment, raceways, wiring, programming, software, or licenses. 4. Contractor to review all site conditions and adjust or amend work as necessary to meet site needs, code requirements, or requirements of the system manufacturer. 5. Attend an after-hours site walk with District personnel to test the existing system, determine locations for new speakers, determine locations for vape sensors, determine raceway routing, and coordinate with District staff. 6. Prepare conceptual drawings and plans for approval of new device locations and locations of existing devices to be reconnected. 7. Provide and maintain a construction schedule per your proposed Work Plan. Coordinate with the District for all required shut downs. 8. Provide and install all equipment, programming, raceways, power, wiring, terminations, and testing as outlined in the attached ‘Exhibit B – Detailed Scope of Work’ 9. Provide and install additional Vape Sensors and Exterior Speakers at locations to be determined. This work will be tracked on a Time and Material basis to be paid from the allowances detailed in ‘Exhibit A - Cost Proposal Form’ 10. Attend regularly scheduled construction update meetings with District staff to provide updates, schedule information, resolve issues, and coordinate with District activities.
