The City of Tallahassee Electric & Gas Department requires a reliable supply of three types of distribution transformers (poletype, single phase padmount, and three phase padmount) in various sizes and voltage ratings in order to meet the needs of its electric customers for both new and maintenance installations. The transformers must meet the attached Electric Department specifications which can be found in Exhibit A – Technical Specifications and shall be delivered to the City's Electric Supply Center within a reasonable amount of time from date of order. The Electric Department utilizes four distribution transformer types: Single phase poletype, single phase padmounted, three phase padmounted, and three phase padmounted with environmentally friendly fluid (FR3). The Electric Department intends on awarding two contracts for each of these four types. This ensures the ability to procure the required transformers if there are delivery lead times or quality issues.
