a. Replacement of all devices, control panels, sub-panels, batteries, and any other equipment and materials associated with the fire alarm system. New devices to be “in kind” and meet current NFPA codes. b. This project intends to replace the existing fire alarm equipment with new “in-kind” replacement equipment and open protocol. The intent of this project is also to connect the new equipment to the existing wiring. If there is a problem with the wiring for any equipment connected to the system, it should be reported to the DGS representative along with a proposed cost to replace the wiring. While the facility claims that the wiring is sufficient to support the new system, it makes no claims thereof. c. The contractor shall file for and secure all required permits, inspections, fees, testing, etc. as may be required by any authority having jurisdiction. That contractor shall pay for all associated fees. d. The contractor is responsible for providing drawings and related documents to be approved by the authority having jurisdiction. e. Provide a 2-year Warranty as outlined in the warranty section. f. Disposal of any and all material or debris from this project shall be the responsibility of the contractor unless otherwise stated herein. All such disposal shall be in accordance with all applicable statutes, laws, and ordinances governing the same. g. The Contractor shall repair and patch all penetrations to original condition.
