The Village is currently using the Munis / Tyler Technologies permitting software. The permit process is based on the handling of paper submittals where an applicant’s file is passed from one “check point” to another. A supplementary system of handling electronically submitted PDF permits through the same process has increasingly strained workflow. The Village is looking to revamp its operational permitting process, including seeking a flexible permitting and violation tracking software solution that would: 1. Aid the Village in accepting and processing permit applications submitted electronically in order to streamline and increase the efficiency of the workflow. 2. Provide a web portal for online application, submittal, payments providing residents with a friendly interface that also provides information and services to residents anytime from any tablet or smartphone. 3. Aids the Village with scheduling and carrying out initial and follow-up inspections.
