The initial phase of services will begin with a feasibility study only. The Town of Longmeadow is soliciting designer qualifications for feasibility and design services for improvements to the Town’s public library facility to more effectively meet the 21st century needs and interests of the community. The feasibility study will include design evaluation schematic design, update of the construction cost estimate, site analysis including access points and ADA improvements, environmental studies of the building, zoning and regulatory review, building code compliance, consideration of stake holders in the development of the design, operational and maintenance assessment. The maintenance assessment will include documentation of existing conditions, improvements needed and estimate of cost and will cover such items as including interior and exterior conditions, roofing, brick, exterior trims, paint, basement and flood assessment, HVAC, plumbing, fire protections systems, electrical systems, security systems, structural, landscape, geotechnical, and technology upgrade integration to ensure a technology progressive library.
