1.0 Background - The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for Lawn Care and Landscape Maintenance Services as requested by the Facility Maintenance Services Division. 2.0 Expectations The City expects the following results from the Contractor: 2.1 Vigorous, healthy, and groomed turf all season with no dead spots or browning 2.2 Full, healthy, and groomed shrubs, trees and ornamental or native grasses 2.3 Attractive and clean flower and/or shrub beds, free of weeds and trash 2.4 No trash or debris 2.5 Professional workmanship, behavior, and appearance 3.0 Scope of Work 3.1 General Information a. Services shall be performed April 1 through October 31. b. Additional services, outside of the Scope of Work described herein, will be requested on an asneeded basis with a City of Cedar Rapids work order form (see attachment section) and paid upon completion of work and receipt of invoice for such service. c. Subcontracting: The work must be performed by the Contractor and may not be subcontracted out to any other person or company. d. Damage: Contractor is liable for any damages incurred during the course of their services. If damage is not repaired, the City will repair and bill Contractor for time and materials.
