1. Contractor will provide all labor, materials and any needed rental equipment to remove and dispose of the existing heat pump units. The existing units are listed below: (see extent of new work below, everything demolished will be replaced under this contract) a. HP/DL Building • 2 (Two) –3 Ton split systems with heat pump 2. Contractor will provide and install: • 2 (TWO) 3 split system units as indicated in attached specification section 23 81 26 DX Split system air conditioning (all equipment needed). • Platforms for new air handler will receive one 5/8” Type “X” piece of gypsum board and will fire caulk all penetrations with a one hour UL rated assembly. • All platforms will be lined with duct board with joints sealed with mastic. • The new condensing unit will be placed on the concrete pad required for the size if the unit • Digital programmable thermostats • Whips • Hardware • Condensate piping • Insulation New ductwork for supply and return air requirements to each room. with diffusers and grilles sized for maximum air flow, balanced throughout area, • Integration of new air handler into the ducting in accordance with SMACNA standards. • Any other miscellaneous materials needed for a fully functional system – see specification 3. The power for this project is 208/230 single phase. • The contractor will furnish and install disconnects and whips to each unit. • The contractor is to verify all conduit will be of sufficient size to comply with National Electric Code (NEC) standard for the size wire needed to comply with the Minimum Circuit Ampacity (MCA) of the new units
