This is a maintenance and repair project to help maintain the existing facility. The scope of work includes repainting the exterior, replacing joint sealants and backer rod, crack repair on existing precast panels, cleaning of the roof parapets, roof parapet repair, replacing failing entry door, sidelights, and hardware, adding bollards for force protection, intermittent plumbing repair\replacement, relocation of a few electrical outlets, install new electrical exterior light fixture, replacement of finishes, repair of water damage, replacement of heaters, and recoating finishes at walls and floors of the recreation yards. The interior remodel work will be dispersed throughout the existing jail facility. The work will be required to be constructed in consecutive work phases. The phasing plan is to be developed with the Owner, Contractor, Correctional Staff, and Architect. This project will require that the Contractor has all materials on site or in storage before starting any demolition work, so that the work can be consecutively completed without delay. The work is to be substantially completed in 365 calendar days from the date of issuance by the Owner of the Notice to Proceed. The project is to be finally complete within 60 calendar days thereafter. The Project includes the following Alternate Bids: 1. Remove existing HRU-1 & associated gas piping, revise existing duct connections and gas piping and connect to new HRU-1.
