6.1 Overview of the University’s Need: Eastern Illinois University is in need of a temporary electrician to be located on campus during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. The temporary electrician will be responsible for day-to-day work orders for the electrical shop, with some data/telecom work possible. 6.2 Specifications and Requirements: 6.2.1 Vendor must provide a licensed journeyman electrician to be located on EIU campus from 7:00 AM CT to 3:00 PM CT, Monday through Friday. 6.2.2 Vendor is responsible for all employment requirements (i.e., benefits, health insurance, etc.) and Electrician will remain an employee of Vendor at all times. 6.3 Milestones and Deliverables: N/A 6.4 Vendor and Staffing Specifications: 6.4.1 Electrician provided must be on-campus during an eight-hour shift from Monday through Friday. 6.4.2 Electrician must work from 7:00 AM CT to 3:30 PM CT with one 30- minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break. 6.4.2.1 The University may require the electrician to work overtime and will notify the electrician as far in advance thereof as practicable, except in unforeseen cases or emergencies, which the University alone can define. 6.4.3 Electrician provided must have at least one-year experience on EIU’s campus. 6.4.4 Electrician provided must be able to work independently as well as navigate EIU's campus and buildings independently. 6.4.5 Electrician must have their own vehicle and standard Journeyman Electrician Tools.
