The purpose of this RFP is to identify and select a vendor to provide a comprehensive, researchbased, and standards-aligned curriculum for English learners in grades 6-12. The selected curriculum will be implemented during the 2025-2026 school year, covering: ● Middle school: Newcomer, ELD levels 2, 3, and 4. ● High school: Newcomer curriculum. The selected vendor must ensure: 1. Alignment to Standards ● Must align with 2020 WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Standards. ● Support integration with Kentucky Academic Standards for ELA and other subjects. ● Provide clear language development progressions across proficiency levels. 2. Research-Based and Evidence-Validated ● Must be grounded in second language acquisition research. ● Include structured, scaffolded instruction for various language proficiency levels. ● Provide research-based strategies, such as comprehensible input, sheltered instruction, and academic discourse.
