1. Provide volunteer driversto transport County clients and County residents at no cost to necessary appointments and/orresources. 2. Redirect transportation requests that can be covered by other third-party payers as necessary (see additional information under “Target Group.” 3. Pick up clients at their home or otherspecified location and transport them to the location of their destination and/or return them home or other specified location. 4. Recruit, screen, and train volunteer drivers and inspect volunteer driver vehicles • Screening should include: o Criminal background check o Drivers must be at least 18 years of age o Drivers must have a drivers license valid for the class of vehicle driven o Drivers have not had a driver’s license cancelled, revoked or suspended o Drivers must have a driving record clear of convictions for driving a motor vehicle without a valid current license o Drivers must have a driving and criminal record clear of convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance o Drivers must have proof of insurance • Training should include organization policies and processes • Annual Vehicle inspection should include making sure the vehicle is in good working order including working seat belts 5. Pay volunteer driver’s mileage at the prevailing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) business rate. 6. Participate in bimonthly virtual GoDakota Advisory Committee 7. Participate in monthly check-in meeting with County
