Kamp Kairphree requires bus transportation for summer camp attendees, consisting of children and young adults, for the Summer of 2025. There will be an additional optional summer season for the Summer of 2026. The dates for the 2026 summer camp transportation will be different, however the number of campers and terms of service will be similar to the Summer of 2025. Bus service will also be required twice (2) a year for the Town’s Preschool program, located at 54 Bible Street, Cos Cob, CT. This additional service shall be quoted as the “special event trip” price per hour/per bus, and a separate invoice shall be issued to the Town. Please provide pricing for both on the Reply Sheets. The day camp for Kamp Kairphree is scheduled to begin on June 24, 2025 and will run Monday through Friday for seven (7) weeks through August 8, 2025. The camp is closed for one (1) day during the seven (7) week period (July 4, 2025). An average of 135 children, ages five (5) to twelve (12), shall be bused daily Monday through Friday. Two (2) large buses, that will seat at least eighty (80) passengers each, are needed daily. A previous year’s designated bus routes are attached as Exhibit C. Kamp Kairphree will provide bus monitors for each bus. Once the buses arrive at the Kamp Kairphree home-base location (i.e. one of the Greenwich Public Schools), children will be separated, and some will be transported to Greenwich Point. Two (2) stops will be made at Greenwich Point, one at the front of the beach, and one at the back of the beach at Eagle Pond. If at any time it begins to rain, a bus shall pick up the children immediately at the front and back of the beach. Transportation for special event trips throughout lower Fairfield County (i.e. movies, theaters, etc.) will also be required. Bidder shall include pricing for the additional trips on the Reply Sheets.
