The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is an organization that provides equitable natural resource management, conservation, sustainable economic use of natural resources and outdoor experiences for all Minnesotans through embedding diversity, equity and inclusion best practices in policies, programs, and services. The DNR is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) and equal employment opportunity and is undergoing a DEIA strategic planning process in 2024-2025. To support this commitment, DNR is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for two categories: Category 1: DEIA Training Program: The purpose of the DEIA Training Program is to provide a customized natural resource conservation-specific and comprehensive DEIA trainings for DNR staff. The trainings should cover topics such as unconscious bias, allyship, anti-racism, microaggression, strategic DEI, and inclusive leadership. The primary objectives of the DEIA Training Program category are to: Enhance employees’ understanding of DEIA and understand how it is relevant to their work. Provide practical tools and strategies for fostering an inclusive workplace. Address and mitigate unconscious biases and stereotypes. Promote respectful and effective communication across diverse groups.
