The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Libraries is seeking a qualified consultant to assist in developing its 2025-2028 Strategic Plan. This plan will align with the goals and strategic directions of the University’s OneMUSC Strategy, which aims to position South Carolina in the top 20 in the nation for health outcomes and MUSC as a top 20 academic health system within the next 20 years. The successful consultant will work closely with the MUSC Libraries leadership, staff, and stakeholders to craft a comprehensive strategic plan that supports the OneMUSC vision and 3 Focus Areas: Empower Healthy Communities, Drive Innovation and Health Transformation, and Reshape the Future Workforce while addressing the unique needs and mission of the MUSC Libraries. The selected consultant will work collaboratively with MUSC Libraries leadership and stakeholders to develop a strategic plan that: • Aligns with the OneMUSC Strategy, supporting its focus areas and aspirational goals. • Identifies opportunities for the MUSC Libraries to contribute to improving health outcomes, advancing innovation, and shaping the future workforce in alignment with MUSC's institutional priorities. • Ensures the Libraries’ services, collections, technology, and spaces support MUSC’s academic, research, and clinical missions. • Involves engagement with internal stakeholders (faculty, staff, students) and external partners (healthcare providers, community organizations) to gather input on needs and opportunities. • Establishes measurable goals, objectives, and key performance indicators to assess progress over the three years.
