The City of Orting is accepting proposals from qualified Consultants to develop a Telemetry Master Plan and Design. Public Works (PW) seeks to modernize and enhance its citywide telemetry system, including SCADA integration for water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities. This project will address aging infrastructure, communication issues, and operational challenges, ensuring reliable and efficient monitoring and control of these systems both locally and remotely. The objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive Telemetry Master Plan and Design, which will assess current system deficiencies, explore alternative solutions, and create a detailed design for a fully integrated, modern telemetry system. The plan will focus on improving system reliability, enhancing data transfer and control capabilities, and ensuring resilience in the face of potential hazards. The final deliverables will include a complete design for system upgrades, implementation plans, and City standards for future utility infrastructure projects.
