Cash rent of 12.6 acres of farmland at Crescent Wildlife Area located at 24668 Liberty Ln., Crescent, IA 51526, (1.5 mile north of intersection of Old Mormon Bridge Rd & 152nd St.) in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Lease Amendments Lease shall be paid March 1 and November 1 (50% each), or in full March 1 at contract rate. Tenant shall follow best farming practices (contour planting, crop rotation, no-till planting) Tenant shall plant a cover crop each year. Tenant shall maintain all ditches, rills, and erosion within the cropped acres on an annual basis. Tenant shall not remove any crop residue from the property without written permission first. (No baling or chopping) 70% ground cover must be met. No fall tillage, fertilizer application, or spraying. Tenant shall not spray chemicals on any day above label recommended wind speed to minimize drift onto adjacent CRP acres. No aerial spraying of any type. Corn, soybeans, wheat, oats, or alfalfa preferred as main crop covers.
