The Village of North Aurora is seeking to retain the services of one qualified and experienced Firm, with extensive experience in water distribution system leak location and pinpointing. The Proposer will develop, plan, and execute a leak detection program to survey & listen to the water distribution systems of the VILLAGE to all known, and unknown leaks. Ultrasonic leak detection shall be performed on every fire hydrants and mainline valves. Suspected leaks will then be located through ultrasonic leak correlation. Accessible curb stops may be used as needed depending on pipe material or to pinpoint leaks. Correlated leaks will be prioritized according to condition and criticality. Results will include individual reports of the location and estimated volume of each leak located. Recommendations for refining the scope and value of an ongoing systemwide program will also be made based on the overall evaluation of the criticality of each leak.
