Inspectors can plan to end the inspection season on the following dates: September 1, 2025 for all lakes with the exception of Big Birch, Little Birch, and Lake Osakis* which will end on October 27, 2025** *Lake associations will be expected to provide portable toilets at any access for inspection services that occur after the normal inspection contract end date of September 1, 2025. **Inspection season is based on seasonal weather conditions and may fluctuate inside of these dates. These high-traffic lakes are susceptible via proximity to Starry Stonewort which remain an active threat through October. • A plan for Hours Worked should incorporate the following Zone Responsibilities: ❖ HIGH PRIORITY TRAFFIC ZONES: The Inspection Season will start May 9, 2025 (Fishing Opener) ▪ Inspection hours should primarily target the busiest watercraft landing times on weekends, including some evenings until no later than 10 PM, at specific access points like Big Birch Lake. Additionally, inspections should be scheduled on days with organized events, such as fishing tournaments and the 2025 Fourth of July celebration. This includes events on Beauty Lake, Big Birch Lake, Osakis Lake, and Mound Lake, as well as during the "Bob Show" at Big Birch Lake.
