The proposed project consists of removal of the existing concrete aprons and doublebarrel, reinforced concrete box culverts (out-to-out length of 16’-6’ and out-out width of 13’-10’) and replacement with a single-cell, cast-in-place (CIP) reinforced concrete box culvert spanning 13’-0” with a rise of 1’-8”. The proposed structure has an out-to-out length of 24’-9 ¾”, an out-out width of 14’-0’ and a clear width of 10’-2” (face-to-face) of parapets. The proposed structure also includes steel parapet railing, stenciled Portland cement concrete decking and concrete parapets with textured form liner surfaces and stained concrete. The approach brick path will be removed and reinstalled with a concrete edge restraint, including the placement of subbase granular material and geotechnical fabric, the removal and disposal of unsuitable material beneath the culvert and material replacement with rock fill. Work also includes stump removal, installation of stone outcropping, placement of sediment and erosion control measures, traffic control signage and stone riprap, landscaping and site restoration.
