St. Lucie County is commencing a process to select an art conservator partner to provide resto-ration, maintenance, repair, and conservation services for the county’s public art collection. The county’s public art program began on July 6, 1999, when the Board of County Commissioners created, by Ordinance, an Art in Public Places program. In May 2024, the county completed an inventory, assessment and condition report of its public art collection. The report determined that the county has approximately 32 sculptures located throughout the county. The report also contains field drafts with notes along with field reports outlining the restoration, maintenance, or repairs for the conservation services needed on each of the public art pieces.
