For the benefit of the facility, the vendor will: a) Supply only approved drugs, intravenous solutions, biologicals and pharmaceutical supplies in compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations for residents and facility. b) When available, A-Rated generic equivalents must be used instead of brand-name drugs. c) Render all services in accordance with any applicable requirements of local, state and federal laws and regulations and community standards of practice. d) Label all medications in accordance with local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations. e) Provide drugs, intravenous solutions, biologicals and pharmaceutical supplies in a prompt and timely manner. f) Package all medication in unit doses. g) The completed prescriptions are to be delivered to the facility in unit returnable doses (strips in boxes) that meet CMS standards. h) All systems must be completely installed within thirty (30) days of the award of contract. Contractor must also be able to take phone or fax orders and deliver items on the next trip. Vendor must also notify facility when drug(s) is (are) not available so that substitute drug(s) may be obtained.
