Work under this contract consists of concrete slope paving repair Eastbound and Westbound on SR 90 at MP 2.98 in Talbot County. This contract will require the removal of broken and undermined slope paving. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, means of transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform work. The Contractor shall be responsible for hauling away and disposing of all items and materials to be removed. There is a railroad (CSX) adjacent to the area in need of repair. It is the responsibility of the contractor to attain all permits required to perform work in this location. The contractor shall remove damaged slope paving BY HAND to the roadway and construct new slope paving in its place in accordance with GDOT Section 441(Miscellaneous Concrete) and Section 812 (Backfill Material). (The area to be repaired is approximately 270 Square Yards.) The contractor shall not have any equipment on the railroad right of way at any time. The estimated railroad right of way is 100 feet, 50 feet on each side from the center of the track. Contractor shall pour the new slope paving with a pump line or any approved method to avoid having equipment on the RR right of way. Contractor shall remove existed slope paving, hand tools, or anything else related to the project daily. Contractor shall not stockpile any existing slope paving or tools on the railroads right of way at any time. The Contractor shall be responsible for placement, installation, maintenance, inspection, and removal of any necessary erosion control devices as per sections 160, 163, and 170 of the Standard Specifications.
