Section 2: Scope of Work The club house at the Glencoe Golf Club will be demolished and replaced. As part of this project, 31 trees need to be cut down. The scope of the work includes a base bid and alternate bid that include the following: 1. Totally cut down, grind the stumps, and clean up the debris of the 31 trees located on the premises of the Glencoe Golf Club as listed below and depicted in the drawing in the tree preservation plan (Sheet TP1.0) prepared by FGMA Architects, which is attached. The Work shall be done in a clean, safe, timely and professional manner. The contractor will work to minimize disruptions to neighboring properties and golf course operations. 2. Grind all stumps out to 12 inches below ground level and backfill resulting excavations to grade level with grindings generated. The void created during the stump grinding shall be backfilled the same day. All other grindings not used for backfilling should be spread out at grade. Restoration for excavations is not included in this scope. 3. All agreed upon debris from the tree removals must be removed from the site within one week after debris has been placed, unless authorized by the Village. Contractor must place debris in areas designated by the Village if not removed immediately. 4. All debris must be disposed of legally and responsibly. 5. Contractor must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain the insurance and bonds specified in this Contract. 6. Before the commencement of the Work, the Contractor is responsible for obtaining a Landscaper License from the Village of Glencoe Development Services Department. 7. The Contractor shall be responsible for contacting J.U.L.I.E. before any digging. 8. The Contractor shall be responsible for safely securing the operational area to prevent injury and public access. 9. Work must be completed between February 21st and March 5th. Daily schedule of work to be coordinated with the Golf Course General Manager.
