SW 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES SW 1.1 The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA or the Authority) requires the services of a Contractor to provide and service feminine hygiene units and sharps disposal containers. SW 1.2 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and transportation for the delivery, servicing, and replacement of the feminine hygiene units and sharps disposal containers. The primary purpose of the feminine hygiene service is to provide a safe, clean, and environmentally friendly manner to dispose of feminine hygiene items in the ladies’ restrooms throughout the MARTA Headquarters Complex. SW 1.3 The Contractor shall comply with all requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogen Standard found in Title 29 of the Code Federal Regulations at 29 CFR 1910.1030. The Contractor must provide a Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan and ensure that all employees receive Bloodborne Pathogen training at the time of initial assignment and annually thereafter. SW 2.0 CONTRACTOR’S RESPONSIBILIES SW 2.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all feminine hygiene units and sharps disposal containers at the locations listed below on the 1st and 15th of each month. The Contractor shall remove each unit from each ladies’ restrooms within the identified facilities and ensure that each unit is replaced with a clean, sanitized unit on each scheduled service visit. The Contractor shall acknowledge and respond to all service requests as scheduled. When immediate Will-Call service is required, service response must be completed within 24 hours of notification. SW 2.2 The Contractor shall pick-up and replace the sharps disposal containers are above the fill line, while the Contractor is onsite servicing the feminine hygiene units.
