The Office of Planning, Policy, and Program Development, Hawaii Department of Health (OPPPD/DOH), pursuant to Act 263, Session Laws of Hawaii (SLH) 2022, is requesting proposals from qualified offerors to provide for a two (2) year project that develops and implements a management system of a student loan repayment program for the purpose of workforce retention within the Public Health (PH) sector in Hawaii. The objective of the student loan repayment program is to strengthen Hawaii’s PH workforce by encouraging employee retention, minimizing workforce shortages, and allowing recipients to continue living and working in Hawaii, thereby strengthening the expertise of the PH workforce. Any award will result in a contract between the Department of Health (DOH), State of Hawaii and the Provider.
