The intent of this Project is to replace four (4) existing 400-ton air-cooled chillers with new 400 Ton energy efficient Daikin air cooled chiller units (one-for one) with appropriate refrigerant and including its pumps, VFDs, and equipment at Reagan HS. Since the existing chillers are closely spaced to each other, two chillers will need to be relocated within the chiller yard to allow for better air circulation. Scope of work includes all work associated with the support installation and proper operation of the air-cooler chillers (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology, etc.). The actual chiller units (four Daikin® air-cooled screw compressor chiller package unit Mod# AWV028B) have been purchased by the District and will be delivered, installed, and start-up by the on-site by the manufacturer representative.
