The Economic Development Plan supports Bellevue Comprehensive Plan goals, Bellevue City Council’s Strategic Target Areas, and other citywide policies. The plan also contains strategies and actions to help the city achieve its vision of being a vibrant and inclusive global innovation hub fueled by a highly educated, entrepreneurial and diverse workforce. The Cultural and Economic Development (CED) team supports the business and artistic communities with proactive services to support the expansion of a world-class creative community, recruit global businesses to the Eastside, and support economic empowerment through entrepreneurship. A Guidance Group and Oversight team made up of staff and leadership across City departments will also support the plan update in addition to the CED team.
