The bid will be for delivery of the following 12 lecture/hands-on training topics monthly to each of the department’s 4 tours/shifts (17-21 per tour) while personnel are in-service. The programs are to be scheduled and delivered during a performance period of 18 months beginning March, 2025. Each training session must be delivered by experienced and accredited instructors and shall be approximately 3-4 hours in length with time allotted for potential class interruptions due to calls for service. Variations to the specific program content is to be expected from vendor to vendor, however, content presented should use each description below as a guide for minimum program learning objectives. 1. Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Rescue. How they are made and challenges they present to firefighting. Lecture program is to provide comprehensive awareness and emergency response training to fire fighters and other emergency responders to prepare them for widespread implementation of advanced electric drive vehicles, including battery electric, hybrid electric, and certain fuel-cell electric vehicles. Include a discussion on lithium-ion batteries in other mobility devices and tools. 2. Ground Ladders. Hands on program will go over basic use, set up, and take down of all types and sizes of ground ladders. WOFD will provide building to set up ladders on (2 Instructors may be necessary) 3. Firefighter Safety and Survival on the Fireground lecture course will cover current techniques and procedures in Firefighter Safety and Survival Skills.
