The City of Flowery Branch is seeking proposals for the construction of a covered open-air stage cover at the newly designed amphitheater located at 5603 Mitchel St, Flowery Branch. The stage cover should be designed with aesthetics and functionality in mind, complementing the existing Farmers Market Pavilion and the small pavilion at the amphitheater (please refer to exhibit A). The structure must include sound and lighting systems, ensuring clear visibility and audibility for all events. The work to be done consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, systems, and equipment and performing all labor necessary to build new Amphitheater Covering according to the details in the specifications of the bid. AMPHITHEATER COVERING I. Material and Specifications • Open-air stage cover with an appropriately sloped roof to mitigate sun exposure while maintaining clear visibility from the pavilion. • Roofline should complement the nearby pavilions. • Open at the back to allow visibility from the City Hall lawn. • Durable and weather-resistant materials suitable for outdoor use. • Venetian 6x6 60mm paver stones over concrete for the stage area. • 48” steel picket-style fence along the backside for security. • 48” gate centered at the rear of the pavilion opening to the roadside. • Rain gutters along the back side of the roofline. • Sound System: a. Permanently installed, outdoor-rated sound system. b. Capable of clear audibility from the rear of the amphitheater and the lawn of City Hall. c. Easy connection for bands and speakers. d. Lockable access control for the sound system. • Lighting System: a. Dimmable, outdoor-rated lights. b. Sufficient to illuminate the stage area without shadows. c. Lockable access control for the lighting system. • Electrical Requirements: a. Individual outdoor-rated power outlets attached to each support structure. b. All electrical controls, power outlets, sound, and lighting systems to be managed from a single lockable access box II. Additional Work The City may add to these specifications with the joint approval of the Contractor and the City. All modifications shall be in writing. A. In the event that the City requires additional work outside of these specifications, the Contractor shall perform all work at a competitive industry price. B. Additional work may be added to the contract as the need arises. The Contractor shall perform all specified and approved additional work. C. The Contractor must be willing to provide a competitive price for additional work that may be added to the contract. The contractor will be required to demonstrate the ability to properly execute the expanded workload with the necessary increase in labor, materials, and equipment.
