8.1 INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS/SCOPE OF SERVICE: Policies should be specifically tailored to school district operations. 8.1.1 Vendor must be responsible for negotiating renewal of existing coverage. 8.1.2 Vendor must prepare all necessary bid specifications, in the event the coverage is marketed, evaluate all bids that are received and make recommendation to the District representative. 8.1.3 Vendor must assist the District in evaluating and settling all issues relating to the insurance provided, including regular reviews of loss reports. 8.1.4 Vendor must provide the CFO and Risk Management with reasonable preliminary renewal figures during the budget process. 8.1.5 Vendor must be available to attend Board of Education meetings and Finance Team meetings and District Safety Meetings, whenever necessary. 8.1.6 Vendor must have the ability to recommend cost projections for other carriers. 8.1.7 Vendor should provide an annual review of Districts insurance programs. 8.1.8 Vendor will act as an independent insurance advisor to the District and proactively provide ongoing unbiased professional advice and recommendations. 8.1.9 Vendor will provide loss control services and assistance with claims as requested by the District. 8.1.10 Vendor will assist in analyzing loss exposures from existing and new operations, and determine the appropriate risk management alternatives, including type of coverages and cost of coverages being recommended. 8.1.11 Vendor will assure insurance policies are placed in a timely manner, without lapses in coverage and with a reputable and financially secure insurer.
