The selected Consultant will be required to provide a combination of engineering and architectural services. These services will generally be concerned with reviewing and ensuring that the Contractor selected for this project complies with all requirements of the project. The selected Consultant will perform numerous activities including, but not limited to, the following: Serve on the Proposal Evaluation Committee to select a Contractor Conduct the pre-design/preconstruction meeting with the selected Contractor Review the Contractor’s comprehensive schedule and quality management plan Review geotechnical lab testing, drilling, and engineering work Review project design plans (30%, 60%, final) and ensure project designs comply with all requirements of the Kentucky Building Code, the Kentucky Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing Codes, Americans with Disabilities (ADA), and all other applicable state and national codes. Review utility connection and/or minor adjustment plans Attend any necessary design review/discussion meetings Review proposed changes to the scope of work If necessary, review any Contaminated Materials Management Plan Perform construction related services (review shop drawings, conduct inspections, prepare inspection reports, and participate in periodic construction progress meetings) Review Contractor’s monthly progress payment requests based on the Schedule of Values provided by the Contractor during procurement. If requested, prepare and make project status presentations for meetings with local officials and staff
