Consultant Scope Consultant shall provide preliminary and final engineering design services through bidding. The City reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for any subsequent phases (right-of-way, construction management and administration, construction inspection, and record drawing production) associated with this project. It is anticipated that the selected consultant will carry the project through construction, and record drawing production. The following is a preliminary scope of work to help structure the final Consultant Agreement: Task 1 – Project Management Consultant shall provide continuous project management for the project duration. Project management shall include management and administration of all subconsultants. The following tasks are anticipated: • Prepare monthly progress reports and invoices • Provide project schedule and monthly updates on milestones including scope tasks, schedule, and budget • Attend project meetings and meeting minutes • Manage sub-consultants • Quality Assurance/Quality Control of all deliverables • Coordinate plan revision and response to City comments on all deliverables • Regular communication with City project manager on progress, problems, and issues Task 2 – Survey and Basemap Preparation Review existing data including site visits, complete project survey, and create basemap. This task includes contacting a utility locate service to mark underground utilities within the identified project areas, including performing a field survey of existing surface features including topography breaks, fencing, visible above ground utilities, underground utility markings, pavement, sidewalks, and other hardscape, signage, transit stops, trees, other significant landscaping, and buildings within the project limits and gathering any additional information that may be necessary for the project. Consultant shall not rely on GIS information alone for surface features but must confirm existing information in the field.
