This contract provides for a Term Agreement for Design Highway Services for Asbestos Assessment and Remediation Management in NYSDOT Regions 1, 2, 7 and 9. Tasks include: asbestos project screening for transportation capital projects involving building, bridge and right-of-way construction work; asbestos project assessment including identification, sampling and quantification of impacted suspect asbestos-containing materials; asbestos project design including payment item selection, special note preparation and regulatory variance preparation / submittal; asbestos compliance project monitoring during abatement activities including project documentation approval / maintenance, contractor regulatory / specification compliance and air sampling; and conducting asbestos regulatory certification training for in-house Department staff.
