Perform a visual inspection of the exterior coatings, foundation, and appurtenances of each tank. The interior wet surfaces shall be inspected utilizing a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), dedicated to inspecting potable water tanks. Prior to entering the potable water, the ROV and tether shall be disinfected in accordance with AWWA C652. The amount of sediment on the bottom of the tank shall be investigated and measured. The internal inspection shall be recorded for documentation purposes and future review. Dry film thicknesses shall also be measured. Upon completion of the evaluation, a NACE Certified Coating Inspector shall compile the above information into a full written report, which shall be more in depth than a check list. Digital copies shall be provided. Hard copies shall be provided upon request: The report shall include the following: A. Full written report of findings. B. Digital photographs of exterior and interior surfaces above the high-water level. C. Digital ROV footage of the interior inspection. D. Recommendations for repairs and recoating, including detailed recommendations for any safety and sanitary requirements. E. Budget analysis for repairs and recoating.
