Consultant shall conduct all background investigative activities in compliance with the current practices of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), California’s Fair Chance Law and E-Verify services. Background investigations on current and prospective employees shall be conducted as requested by OCTA’s Human Resources Department as follows: Social Security Trace Consultant shall conduct a social security trace of social security number by name and recent address used by applicant under consideration for a position. Criminal Conviction History Information shall be investigated for felony and misdemeanor conviction records in federal district, state, and county courts. Consultant shall conduct a physical review of the court records for prospective employees. The physical review shall confirm positive identification through verification of date of birth, social security number and/or driver’s license number, or utilizing information as required by local agencies.
