The summary of work is as follows, but is not limited to the following: This project aims to connect four (4) water production wells through a fiber optic loop to a SCADA control center at Pajarito Cliff Site (PCS). Additionally, a 144-strand fiber optic line will be installed in the vicinity of these wells to act as a trunk line for future fiber optic needs in Los Alamos County. Contractor(s) will be responsible for the installation of approximately four and a half (4.5) miles of aerial fiber optic lines, including the installation, splicing, testing, and landing of these cables inside of the well houses. Two (2) underground fiber optic boxes will also be required, along with associated earthwork and approximately 200 feet of new underground conduit. Miscellaneous work includes the installation of a 35’ wooden pole and general site cleanup.
