1. The equipment shall be hydraulic cranes ranging from 40-ton to 500-ton cranes. 2. Steuben County reserves as its right, the right to reject any equipment at any time if the County has concerns as to the ability of the equipment to perform in a satisfactory, effective, and efficient manner. Any resultant “downtime” shall not be charged to Steuben County. 3. Equipment shall have a properly functioning hour meter. Operator Performance: 1. The contractor shall supply and designate primary and secondary (backup) equipment operator(s) for both required positions (i.e. equipment driver/operator and equipment ground man, if an equipment ground man is required for the proper operation and performance of the crane). The operator(s) shall bear sole responsibility to operate the equipment during the performance of Steuben County projects. This requirement is established to ensure consistent project performance. 2. The equipment operator(s) (or other contractor’s staff) shall be responsible for routine maintenance and repair work on the equipment.
