The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide color orthomosaic high resolution imagery covering the State of Nevada delivered by web-based service to limited number of users. Not mandatory under this request, NDEP will give preference to vendors that can provide oblique imagery captured simultaneously with the ortho imagery. NDEP seeks this high-resolution imagery for the purpose of identifying, studying, and reviewing natural and man-made surface features, especially features that provide evidence of potential contamination such as structures, improvements, soil disturbance, tailings ponds, tailings piles, or similar. In addition to visual analysis online, the imagery can be used to create large-scale map products in performance of public service programs to conserve, protect, preserve, manage, and enhance the natural, cultural, and recreational resources of the state. If oblique imagery is available, such imagery will be used to assess surface features to determine elevations, view features obscured in the ortho imagery and estimate material volumes. It will be necessary to allow NDEP to use the high-resolution imagery in publicly available hardcopy and digital products such as pamphlets, brochures, maps, presentation materials, and similar educational and informational formats consistent with fulfilment of its core missions and public responsibilities. Use of the high-resolution imagery will be limited to facilities under control of NDEP, such as websites, public presentations, and published materials. Statewide coverage of Nevada is desired. Vendor is to provide accurate summary of spatial coverage and temporal distribution of imagery to be available through contracted service. Vendors intent for future acquisition of expanded and\or updated imagery is to be stated.
