The Town of Salisbury would like to acquire through the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process the service of a qualified professional to provide technical assistance and grant application support for resiliently planning at Salisbury Beach. The scope would include evaluation of sources of flooding in Salisbury Beach, focusing on Dead Creek, Black Rock Creek, and the Atlantic Ocean. These waterways effect the primary access and egress for Salisbury Beach, utilities, parking and adjacent business and homes in the areas of Beach Road, Old County Road, North End Boulevard, Broadway, and Cable Avenue. Through grant applications such as the Municipal Vulnerability Grant, Salisbury would like to conduct a study of the hydrology of these areas we can better identify resiliency projects that will work with the natural system and have the greatest impact on the largest populations. This project will require coordination and strong partnerships between the Town and other State Agencies.
