1. Post Offer “Pre-employment” Physicals and Drug Testing 1.1.1. DOT CDL Regulated Physical and Drug Test 1.1.2. Applicants that have accepted a conditional job offer and will be working in safety-sensitive position, position requiring a CDL, or already possess a CDL need to have a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical as their post offer physical. 1.1.3. Applicants that have accepted a conditional job offer and will be working in a safety-sensitive position or position requiring a CDL and already possess a CDL will need to have a DOT regulated drug test. 1.1.4. Applicants that have accepted a conditional job offer and will be working in a safety-sensitive position or position requiring a CDL and do not yet have a CDL will need to have a DOT regulated physical and a rapid drug test. 1.1.5. Physicals will be performed according to Job Classifications which can be found at www.gilbertaz.gov. 1.1.6. All drug and alcohol test results must be reported to Gilbert’s Medical Review Officer. 2. Non-CDL Employee and Non-Regulated Drug Test 2.1.1. Applicants that have accepted a conditional job offer and will be working in a safety-sensitive position that does not require a CDL will need to have a physical to ensure that they are physically capable of performing the duties of that position. 2.1.2.
