The Town of Weston, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids until 10 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the Department of Public Works, 190 Boston Post Road By-Pass, Weston, MA, 02493, for the Weston Transfer Station Truck Scale Project which includes removal of the existing truck scale, foundation, approaches, speaker posts, bollards and installation of a new 60’ x 10’ precast scale with 8,000 psi concrete deck, new foundation, approaches and associated site work. 2. Location and Work to be Done The Work consists of the replacement of the existing truck scale located at the Weston Transfer Station at 195 Church Street, Weston, MA 02493. The work includes the removal of the existing truck scale, foundation, and approaches, speaker posts, bollards and installation of a new 60’ x10’ precast scale with 8,000 psi concrete deck, new foundation, approaches and associated site work and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications, details and sketches attached hereto. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item.
