The services shall consist of grass mowing, trimming, edging, and litter pick-up. The County will direct the Contractor as to which locations shall be mowed. The number of mowings needed to ensure a good appearance varies per season. The Successful Bidder may be asked to mow along any County maintained road right-of-way in Anne Arundel County, including arterial, collector and local roads such as those encountered in residential development. This bid does not provide the mowing of private property for any reason nor the application of herbicide or pesticide. The areas to be cut shall be delineated by the designated County representative. The Successful Bidder(s) shall provide all labor, equipment, fuel, lubricants, repairs, insurance, transportation, and any other necessity required to perform the median and roadside mowing services. The Successful Bidder shall provide requested documentation for Contract monitoring and payment. TYPES OF MOWING - Road and street maintenance requires several general types of mowing. These are: •Hand Mowing - This activity covers mowing operations using push mowers, walk-behind units, lawn-tractor type mowers, and string trimmers.
