The Town of West Hartford is seeking bids for the video assessment of storm pipes, drainage structures, and outlets to watercourses throughout the Town. This contract will be mutually renewable for up to a total of three years. Most of the storm drainage system is located within a public street right of way. However, some of the pipes traverse across private property. The Town of West Hartford will provide mapping to document the locations of storm pipe assessment. The mapping will show approximate locations of catch basins, manholes, outlets, assumed pipe sizes, and estimated pipe lengths. The Contractor shall perform the following: • Pre-clean the storm pipe using high pressure water and vacuum equipment. • Video inspect the storm system, including the condition of all manholes, catch basins, outlets, and intermediate pipes; The video will document pipe size, pipe length, connection locations, and any significant pipe deficiencies (Pipe joint offsets, pipe sag, pipe cracking, root infiltration, etc.) • Some of the storm pipe networks may convey water during dry conditions. The Contractor is responsible for dewatering or bypass pumping. The Contractor shall provide the Engineer with proposed dewatering or bypass pumping options.
