This Phase VII project entails the following elements in the Base Bid: Repair or replace all interior handrails to achieve code compliance; trim cabinet doors along basement stairs; paint and re-hang two basement doors; install safety foam guards; and paint walls, ceiling, and side of door in main stairs to basement. In addition, bidders are asked to indicate separately any or all of the following Alternates as “add-on” to the base bid amount: Alternate #1 – In main stairs to basement, remove carpeting, paint treads and risers, and install new rubber treads; Alternate #2 – In stairs from basement into kitchen, repair cracks in walls, remove shelves, cover opening, paint walls and ceiling, and install two new switches for lights; Alternate #3 – In basement vault, replace plywood on interior ramp to outer door; and Alternate #4 – Electrical work in basement vault.
