Rockdale County Public Schools is inviting proposals for district firewalls that qualify as "internal connections components" under the federally subsidized E-Rate program. These firewalls are crucial in enabling RCPS to provide Internet access to students and staff across the district. The primary objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify the most suitable solution for our district's firewall needs. Upon the selection of a vendor, Rockdale County Public Schools will take care of the initial installation and setup of the two FortiGate-2600F firewalls. Following the initial setup, the vendor is expected to actively participate in reviewing and assisting with the configuration of the firewalls to align with industry security standards and best practices. Given that Rockdale County Public Schools operates with two internet circuits, the vendor will also be responsible for configuring load balancing to optimize the use of these circuits.
