The Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) seeks to engage experienced organizations with a proven track record in providing employment services for youth ages 16-24 facing various barriers to employment. The primary goal is to address the challenges Chicago's youth are faced with, including unemployment. We aim to achieve this by fostering collaborative partnerships among stakeholders, including employers, educational institutions, and community organizations, with the goal of establishing sustainable solutions that generate meaningful employment opportunities. Selected organizations will partner with DFSS’s Youth Employment Team to ensure the successful completion of all stages of the curriculum for this program, which includes Assessment, Exploration, Planning, and Execution. This holistic approach includes a combination of online learning, community engagement events, in-person activities, and individualized work experiences.
