The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to perform the work described below. There are two playgrounds and two swing bays at Mill Creek Regional Park with synthetic turf that was installed in 2018. The total area for turf to be removed and poured in place installed is approximately 9400 sq ft. The subbase installed in 2018 consists of 4” of #57 stone with 1” top layer of M10 fines compacted. Drainage installed under rock layer. Installed on top of M10 fines is a 3.5” layer of EPDM rubber buffering. Current turf is installed on top of EPDM buffering. All areas are bound by concrete sidewalk or 6”x12” concrete border. The swing’s set height is 8’. The removal and disposal of existing turf will be the responsibility of the vendor. The vendor should evaluate the base layers to confirm that it is sufficient to meet all ASTM standards for surfacing. The vendor shall pour new surfacing according to manufacturer specifications and to comply with all ASTM standards for surfacing including but not limited to ASTM 1292: Playground Surfacing Impact Attenuation, ASTM 1951: Playground Surfacing ADA Accessibility, and ASTM 2479: Standard Guide for Specification, Purchase, Installation and Maintenance of Poured-In-Place Playground Surfacing. Bulloch County Recreation and Parks will choose the new surfacing color. The new surface shall not have any gaps between the concrete sidewalks or concrete curbing.
